About Australian Hemp Masonry | Educators

Klara from Australian Hemp Masonry

The AHM hemp building training package consists of an online theory workshop run over 3 zoom sessions, and a full day practical workshop.

All design detailing, performance information, BCA certification, options for framing and forming up, finishes and other information essential for a successful hemp build is covered in the zoom theory sessions.

The practical workshop provides an opportunity to learn how to mix and install hempcrete and work with an experienced hempcrete builder. We deliver practical workshops in all states.

Our upcoming workshops are advertised at www.hempmasonry.com.au/workshops/

For more information about our workshops please contact Tara on tara@hempmasonry.com.au

AHM have been involved in the hemp industry for 22 years and we’ve been supplying Australian sourced and manufactured hemp building materials which were developed at UNSW, since 2009.

AHM works closely with regional farmers and processors in NSW and in other states to support the strengthening Australian hemp industry. We believe it is critical to support the Australian farming sector including small to medium scale farmers to enable a smooth transition from a fossil fuel to a carbon-based economy.

We have a commitment to:

  • Work effectively with the broader community including global transition groups and Indigenous communities who are looking for sustainable housing solutions.
  • Contribute to the diversity and climate resilience of the Australian farming and construction industries
  • Support carbon abatement through regional farming and processing of high biomass fibre crops.

Klara was the Founding President of the Australian Industrial Hemp Alliance (AIHA) and the company remains a member of the AIHA , the Industrial Hemp Council of Australia, and the Tasmanian  Hemp Association.

Klara is a member of both the Regenerative Farming Subcommittee and the Biological Farming Subcommittee, as well as a member of I hemp N.S.W, and the N.S.W Industrial hemp taskforce.
