Also, our Cast&Block system, devised by us, is a hybrid hempcreting method in Australia, is an absolute game changer as it cuts out all the external formwork labour associated with traditional cast Hempcrete and also 1/3rd of the hand casting volume needed to mix onsite.
The concept is quite simple, the external side of the timber frame of the Hempcrete wall is clad with our RespiraBlocks. Once an external skin of RespiraBlocks are clad and brick tied to the timber frame, the internal side is hand cast, giving the feature wall ‘exposed finish’ that hempcrete has become famous for. This allows you to maintain all of the benefits of hempcrete at about 50% of the cost.
