Kirstie and Jeremy had formed up as a team. Our values and goals aligned it was time to build the framework.
Building the directory framework
We decided on www.hempbuilding.au as the domain name and used the powerful WordPress CMS for the website directory. This would enable us to build out the framework including menus, content, security, marketing and much more and focus it all on the emerging Australian hemp building industry.
Branding including colours, fonts, logos etc was settled quickly and Jeremy spent 11 hours one Sunday (instead of enjoying the sunshine outside) inside building the framework for the website. He chose the powerful and versatile Astra theme – free version. As we are bootstrapping this project Jeremy’s skills with web design are of utmost importance as we are able to build a high end product with very minimal budget. Though as the website directory grows there will be a need for some sort of running budget. We look forward to contributions towards this but for now are still working on how these contributions could be garnered and accounts managed. So bear with us a little and we’ll keep you posted…
